CEECE apartments in Prague

If you are a student looking for a study abroad program with apartments for a reasonable price in the center of Prague, or if you are trying to make the choice between living in a dormitory or an apartment, or if you just want to know more about the apartment where you will be living during your program in Prague, this page definitely for you!

Our apartments are located in Prague 2. Five minutes walk to Riegrovy Sady (the huge park with the beer garden), about a ten minute walk from the famous Wenceslas square where you can find everything from shopping malls and restaurants including Czech pubs, and the best night clubs in Prague.

There are normally two students in each double room and four students to an apartment. Students may request a specific roommate when they sign up for the program. Single rooms are an additional $2000 in the Fall or Spring, and $500 a month for other programs. Single rooms may be requested on a first come, first serve basis. When there is extra room available, we will fulfill single room requests. However, we can not guarantee that a single room will be available.

Apartments offer students a "home" in Prague that no dormitory can offer.  In contrast, Czech dormitories can have rigid rules that may be difficult to adjust to.  Czech dormitories usually make students turn in their key when they leave and show a picture ID to renter.  It is not uncommon to get locked out for the night, as the doorman sleeps.

We hope that this information will help you make a more informed choice and that you will be satisfied with your study abroad experience!

Living Independently

We highly recommend students live in the housing provided.  In a few cases, students may be permitted to make their own arrangements.  Requests for permission from CEECE to live independently should be made with a students application.  Approved students can deduct $2000 from the Prague program fee for a fall or spring program or $500 a month for other programs. If a student moves out of CEECE housing after the program has started, he/she does not receive a rebate.
